The jazz jam session will be held on the third Thursday of each month, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Each session will be hosted by saxophonist Tom Tallitsch and will feature a rotating professional house rhythm section consisting of guitar or piano, bass, and drums. Musicians are invited to sign up at the session to perform a song. This is a welcoming and supportive environment for professionals, intermediate musicians, and students to play together, build community, and perform jazz reqertioire on stage in front of an audience. A vocal mic, guitar amp, drums, and keyboard will be available.

Tom Tallitsch is a professional musician, composer, and music educator who resides in Hopewell Borough. As a saxophonist, he has released eleven albums on Posi-Tone, Origin Records, and under his own label. As both a bandleader and sideman, he performs at jazz clubs and venues in New York, Philadelphia, and the northeast, and has toured nationwide. Tom is the pre-kindergarten through sixth-grade instrumental music teacher at Princeton Junior School and serves as the piano accompanist for the choir and spring musical. He is skilled in saxophones, clarinet, flute, piano, guitar, and percussion, and is a prolific composer. He owns a highly recommended music tutoring business in Princeton, NJ, and is a popular jazz educator and clinician. For eleven years, Tom was the host of The Modern Jazz Radio Show on WWFM 89.1. 

Porcelain Petals is a band that was formed by teenagers, Erin and Nola, early in their high school years. They have immersed themselves in musical diversity and have performed in a variety of settings. Nola began singing in a girls choir, and has expanded into rock music and playing guitar. Erin started on the violin and later picked up the electric bass. The both of them bring their different backgrounds together, combining many groups of friends to compose a collaboration of a total of 26 different high school musicians, each talented and passionate.

Dan Trent is a dynamic lead musician whose work blurs the lines between genres, delivering a sound that feels both improvisational and electrifying. His recent release, The Danjonian Project, is a high-energy collection that fuses rock intensity with jazz sophistication—built on driving rhythms, layered instrumentation, and exploratory musical textures.

The Sourland Mountain String Band is a Bluegrass band formed in the heart of the Sourland Mountain Region. The band plays classi and contemporary songs in the Bluegrass tradition and their music features tight three-part vocal harmonies and fast-paced instrumental solos.

Glenn Alexander and Oria Aspen, often work as a duo. Their repertoire draws from jazz, soul, blues, rock, pop, as well as original music. Glenn’s virtuoso guitar skills and soulful vocals combine flawlessly with Oria’s beautiful, passionate, soaring vocals and impeccable flute sound and percussion for the ultimate music experience.

Our RESIDENT Artist - Dave Butler is a drummer, percussionist, keyboardist, and producer based in the Hopewell Borough where he works out of the Butler’s Quarters Studio. He has spent the last 10 years touring around the world with the alternative rock band Guster and before that, other acts such as Lee “Scratch” Perry, Marco Benvento, Tom Hamilton and Todd Sheaffer. www.david-butler.com for more on Dave and his work.
